I'm a company driver that occasionally helps out in the saftey department with new driver road tests and what not. What I have been seeing more lately is owner operators that OWN there trucks out OUT RIGHT parking them and getting company jobs. Its one thing when your making lease payments on your job but when you own your equipment outright and still can't afford to keep running ?!?!?

Reminds me of the perpetual lease op guys that have paid off a couple trucks that are now parked in there front yards because they didn't have the cash to fix them when they broke down and just perpetually lease op.
