A customer base is for sure a massive help, but also...develope good relationships with quality brokers and dispatchers inside the large carriers. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve called up one of those big carriers and gotten a load or two at a really good rate just because they know me and know they can depend on me. Food for thought.

Spending $200k on equipment to hall for dry van rates.
Brokers are laughing all the way to the bank.highwayMike Thanks this. -
New trucks are around $300. Not sure what’s behind the keyboard that types those rates.

The broker ask to please stop calling. This load has already been taken by Cheap Tow Auto Transport, but there are more where this came from. Keep checking their listings a record 19 cpm loads coming soon. -
Metrogistics is trash! Why anyone hauls their cheap crap is beyond me. But they know someone will thus those rates. URS does post cheap freight when they have time to move it but they will pay big when it’s got to go. I’m picking up a URS load in the morning that is paying excellent money.
I do remember hauling Metro freight years back out of Canton that was FAT. $1750 for 250 miles fat. Multiple loads day after day, but after they sold out to Ready Auto (I believe that’s right) rates went through the floor.
So as long as there are those out there willing to drive 1000’s of miles for a $1.85/miles full load, we’ll see cheap freight. Not sure why people can’t get this concept. STOP ACCEPTING CHEAP! Be worth something greater.Hammer166 Thanks this. -
Grab it! They go fast!
