LMAO!!! cableclown, are you being serious????? How about a paper cup, fishing line and Gorilla Tape? Tape a cup to random parts of your truck, attach the fishing line to the cups with the tape and then attach the fishing line to each finger and drive down the road, see if you get any bites, maybe you can call it trolling for a solution............

Yes I have finally got it fixed. I don't know what really was culprit but it was in third head 2 reman injectors 2 new injector cups new gaskets. Ran entire overhead including jakes. Fixed it finally found a mechanic that wanted to work on it and was thoroughly.

You're gonna laugh again, but after seeing what you said about the paper cup theory, years ago before electronic listening devices came along, we would use 3/4 heater hose and run it to the each individual diff and the trans. We would drag them into the cab with somebody driving, and somebody listening. We would have each hose labeled, and stick them up to your ear to try and pin down the location of the noise. Sometimes, it actually worked in identifying the noise location, but the strange looks you got from people that saw all that tubing running through the window. They knew you were up to something, especially if you smoked, and made it it look like you took a big toke out of the tubing and exhaled.

I was involved with many units that had vibration problems. The best one I remember was when the vibrometer first came out, they had use hang the motor on starps and run it. it was a cab over they had t on the dyno for hours. there was a young guy that ran the vibrometer and an old guy just watching. the brain trusts all went to think up a new strategy, I was running the dyno, I asked him what he thought, he said that every piece of machinery, and every component has a vibration, if you get a unit that has multiple componants with the same frequency the unit will vibrate. the one I am talking about actiually hurt your hands holding the steering wheel, I ran it up on the dyno he walked around and touched it with his three finger tips. He said this unit was one that needed a part moved to change the frequency. The scotchman that was the warrenty rep he came buy, I told him what the guy had said. I said that I could very easily move the fuel tank back about 18 inches and remount the chain carrier, ahead of the tank instead of behind. problem solved.
    Just a thought!
