i've been juicing for a week now (not completely juicing) and my blood pressure has lowered to the point that i'm cutting up my meds (1/2 & 3/4). i recommend juicing even if it's just a sporadic thing.

I don't juice but in the summer, most of what I eat is raw salads, raw vegetables and fresh fruit salads with yogurt and honey. I've been vegetarian (no eggs, no poultry, no sea food, no white sugar, no sodas, etc) for 30 straight years, trucking for over 4 years now, middle aged woman, very healthy, still have lots of energy and can do this job just fine. Do my groceries at Walmart once or twice a week and cook in the truck almost every day. :yes2557:

Actually i'm off the road now, but given how i ran, i'd would not be able to go juice only, in fact juicing a weeks worth of greens would be quite an undertaking.. However i would of juice on my 34's. i rarely packed much food on the truck after working for training wheels company, so juicing and driving would be a chore. But i could be done, i worked for a company where i ran 8 hours a day and was in the T/S by 6. That could work easily.

Last Monday I was at a FJ in Jackson, Ga. I was in a room with table, chairs, where I could plug in my laptop... A guy came in with his little juicer... it looked like a small shaker or blender... he plugged it into an outlet and told folks in the room he used to be over 300 lbs and now has been juicing everyday and lost a lot of weight and feeling full of energy... He said had kale, carrots and can't remember what else in that blender... I was going to ask if he was RUFF or someone from this forum but he left in a hurry...

Kale, carrots, prob.cucumber, spinach, celery, some fruit or apples to make it taste better.
i use ginger root alot and go real heavy on carrots and spinach. Broccoli is nice but it makes for a fiberious drink and if you don't like the taste, the fiber is even worse.

i have cut down on carrots they have alot of carbs. as i have stated on my thread i watched a show(think Dr Oz ) said if you wanted to cut blood pressure drink 3 8oz glasses of celery juice a day .

bought a bunch of vegies today i am going to eat 1 meal a day for first week and after that week will just juice. i plan on 6 weeks this time and then will eat 3 or 4 weaks . simple foods vegies main part of meal. As far as juicing in the truck read a thread fat sick and nearly dead. someone in there explained how they do it, it can be done

Too bad can't get juice bars in truck stops. Right there where all the fried stuff that used to be food is next to the fuel desk so you can "grab it an go". Or maybe like a subway setup.....someone pulling fruit and veggies from bins behind the glass. "celery? kale? carrots? plum? strawberry? do you have your Juiceway punchcard ?"

Cuzzin I was thinking the same thing. Would be great if truck stops would provide juice bars. it's great to hear all the success stories with juicing here. I am purchasing a Vitamix at a discount from work in August but not sure how I'll be able to juice once I get on the road in Nov. If you ask me it's time a new type of truck stop opens up and changes the game. Provide healthy services, (bikes, treadmills, some weights etc as well as nutrient dense food for drivers rather than the empty calories that fill the isles. I know I'll be getting a workout driving flatbed but know if I can wake up in the morning and run or walk a few miles and just get up to my max heart rate Id feel better driving down the road. I'm thinking a farmers market style TA.
