Well I know this might bring up some hard feelings, but a couple days ago,I had Rays in West Memphis redo a tune from a previous hack ,and when I opened up my radio today my modulation limiter was snipped, along with a another diode.
Just hooked up my 29ltd chrome that's still factory,as long as i'm doing this trucking thing i'll never have another tech touch my radio.

Stock and unmodified outperforms almost everything out there.
Finfn1372 Thanks this. -
Yeah from now on i'll heave the advice.Just didn't think a shop with a pretty good rep would do something like that, lasted all of 3 day's now it won't transmit smh.
Running my stock cobra, and skipshooter, and getting clean radio checks,if anything from here on out i'll just work on my antenna system. -
Post the details of said hack job in the black list thread..

Yes It be nice to know what to look for When I open it up.

Some of the possible things will be poor solder, coiled up wires in the back all spread apart a lil and added jumper wires...Not a tech but thats what i suspect you will easily see.

I’ve had no problem with Rays the many years I’ve gone in there. I intend to continue.

No if he's clipping and snipping that's nothing but them claiming you'll get full swing
I don't care about swing that's why I do my own
Most the time those guys go in and clip the modulator circut which is the switching diode
Then they mess with traps in the back pulling the slugs out
When it shows up on the oscilloscope
It shows splatter
Why can't they just repair tune and peak something to 80-90 percentage
You don't want your radio turned wide open with stuff clippedrabbiporkchop, Finfn1372 and Timin770 Thank this. -
RockinChair and Humblepie Thank this.

I have nothing but good to say about Ray’s
shogun Thanks this.
