Ray is still the best tech in the country . 35 years working on my equipment.
The Problem is you have to give the customer what they want. 95 percent want loud
audio , so a resisitor is cut coils spread etc.... 35 years he has never cut anything
out or stretched coils on any of my equipment. Because he knows what i like.
Dont blame the tech for loud audio , you asked for it. Common sense you get what
you wanted a Loud radio splatter box. Give Ray a break............ -
A good tech will ask you what you want and make required adjustments than make it loud and clear not loud n garbled or splatter..
Love hearing guys brag by sayin "My radio has a modulator mod, swing mod yadda yadda" does 8 billion watts lol...Suddenly 5 mi down the road he is gone..Last edited: Feb 20, 2021

I agree. i am running a 1977 pearce simpson tiger 40 cybernet chassis.
Really good radio, they did not have a mic preamp inside. so that dont cut it with this age
or generation of truckers , i love it. I have a 1976 midland 77-882 nib , Ray is gonna recap
and align it soon,
