Seem to recall they used to park there all the time, mind you not fully blocking the ramp.

if we ain't supposed to swerve for an animal, are we supposed to swerve for a moron too..???
he's in the way..??
someone's brakes are smoking?
oh well........
hope his life insurance policy is up to date. -
So how do you think this would play out in the courts, let's pretend the truck in the photo had an emergency and need to use that ramp so the driver does his best and honks the horn to let anyone around the police car know to vacate the area right away. The truck totals the police car and proceeds to come to a stop on the emergency ramp. Who is found at fault?. My hope would be the fault would be placed on the police officer who parked there but nowadays many will twist and contort any which way they can to put the blame on the CDL holder.

Happened about 2 kilometers away from this runaway ramp back in the 80s

Just talked to a buddy who drives past there every day. Sounds like the cop sits there often.

Gotta make that money .
That’s all cops care about . taking in the cash .
preventing and solving crime ?
Nah . That costs the department money for investigations and trials and prosecution .
Some of the replies speculate that the car is empty and is blocking the runaway ramp because the ramp is damaged by a landslide or something .
But some cones and a barricade would be a lot cheaper than a vehicle .Magoo1968, Gearjammin' Penguin and Cat sdp Thank this. -
Only other option is fly down the hill and hope you've got enough brakes left and enough luck to get a green light at the bottom of the hill. -
AModelCat Thanks this.
