OK, so here's more of week 2:
Day 3
We started the day today a little different, Dale and Kevin switched trucks and gave each of us a "pre-cdl" test. This was to give us an idea of what the test would be like and how we would score. That took up the morning. After lunch Kevin got pulled away to do an evaluation on another driver (he had just finished his 2 weeks out with his trainer and needed his final evaluation before he could get his own truck.) Because Kevin wasn't there, we couldn't take his truck out, so we pulled it out to the training area and practiced backing with Dale. Once Kevin got back we headed out on to the road and one of us was able to get some driving in that day.
Day 4:
Today started ot really foggy, so we went out back and each took a turn practicing our backing. By the time each of us had finished the fog had cleared, so we went out on the road. After lunch we continued the road driving and finished off the day with taking the truck through the truck wash and parking it near the exit to the lot for the test tomorrow.
Texasphoenix:
I know that goblue already covered this, I was hoping to give a more precise account, and there is also a possibilty that things may have changed. Just figured we could try to cover all of our bases.

NP...always good to get several people writing about their training time.

Got my truck pm and cruise/opti-idle recall done in Marshfield Friday along with attending the safety class with Kevin. Then talked with Dale for a few minutes when we met in the yard. It was good to visit with our two trainers since it's been over seven months since we left. Good guys.
Skydivedavec and goblue Thank this. -
I said hi to Kevin and Dale (and special_kase) last week Wednesday while they were taking a break out in the yard. Much nicer weather than when we were there.
Skydivedavec and goblue Thank this. -
I arrived here in Marshfield, checked into my room, and I'm looking forward to the 1st day of training tomorrow morning! It's going to be a great three weeks.! It will to be nice to put some names to some faces that I have heard so much about.
goblue Thanks this. -
Good chance you'll be getting Scott and Joe as your instructors. Scott is a phenomenal instructor, I didn't have Joe much so can't say. If you get a chance tell Scott......Bob from New York.......says hi!!!!
Good luck, you'll enjoy your 3 weeks.Skydivedavec and Northtown Thank this. -
ok, sorry about the delayed update:
Day 5 (week 2):
Test Day! Started out in the classroom getting given a bunch of forms and found out our order. I was going to be the last one to drive. While I waited we watched some videos that were interactive, they would show us a scene and ask us a question about it (like what did that last sign say? what potential hazards are there?) Some questions were multiple choice, some were fill in the blanks. I finally got a chance to drive around noon, the test took about 1.5-2 hours. After the test we went back to the room and covered how to properly slide tandems and watched another video (the other videos were for killing time, this one was a required one that had a test that will go into our file) after that we were let go a little early.
Techno- I got a 3
Day 6:
Classroom day. We watched another required video and covered trip planning. We went over the rand mcnally and he gave us scenarios to try and figure out. Pretty basic and boring, but important nonetheless. -
Congrats, that's a great score.
