Thanks, I saw there's an Aldi just up the street too (groceries). Ya, I expect driving an unsynchronized transmission with double-clutching would require a reboot if you're used to a car tranny. Should be interesting
Thanks for the tips!

Typically the biggest issue people have is giving it gas as you shift, wait until its fully in gear and you let off the clutch. Same with starting off, just let the clutch out slowly until you learn the grab point, without hitting the throttle. It's a hard thing to break when starting out. There will be times when you think you got to hold on for 8 seconds it will buck so bad.mastrassassin, technoroom, Skydivedavec and 1 other person Thank this.

Thanks for all the great tips! It really helps to hear from those that have already experienced it.
Skydivedavec and Bigdubber Thank this. -
I recommend wearing a sweatshirt under a jacket. If its windy it will help keep you warm an if you do get warm u can just take the jacket off. But yea deffinitly bring your thermals hat warm gloves. You can bring both boots an shoes. I always wore my boots cuz they were warmer lol but yea dress warm. You can take. Your jacket an wat not off in the truck. Good luck guys hope to see ya out here soon. Any questions feel free to ask.

Hey Irishman -- can you make another post (doesn't matter which forum) so you can receive private messages (PMs)? goblue and I have been PMing and we want to include you in the conversation too...gotta have five posts to send or receive PMs.Skydivedavec Thanks this.

Hey Techno, thanks for including me. I've been lurking for a while trying to soak up what I can.
Skydivedavec Thanks this. -
Lol yeah I guess dressing warm helps too. Wear layers that you can shed easily once the heat kicks on in the trucks you don't want to melt in there. As for shoes I'd wear whatever you plan on driving in. I brought my snowboots in case I had to shovel my way out to the car but luckily that didn't happen. Never underestimate the power of a warm hat. That single-digit air will suck the heat right out of you in no time.
Figures you can't so much as get a cup of coffee within walking distance of HQ, but downtown around the hotel you can get anything.Bigdubber and Skydivedavec Thank this. -
Thanks Matti. You just answered my question of what shoes/boots to bring. I cleaned up my insulated stompers just in case but they would not be my first choice to learn to double clutch in. Coming to Marshfield from Tennessee I'm sure the weather will be more than I bargained for but I'm coming prepared.
Skydivedavec Thanks this. -
Techno and Blue,
I tried sending you both a PM but the system wouldn't let me until I had posted seven posts and this is magic number seven ................ so, I'll try again..................Skydivedavec Thanks this.
