I want to move my non sliding 5th wheel back, I have 12,250# on steer axle, 32,800# on drives.
I think 2 holes will do it. Do I need to replace the bolts that hold it to the frame, or are they re-usable?

Always buy new, not worth it to re use when they are so cheap to buy.

I wouldn't be afraid to reuse them in a pinch if they didn't look too bad (no excessive rust, damaged threads, stretched etc). Stover/locknuts are one time use though.

The bolts themselves may be okay but most likely they have self-locking nuts that should be replaced. For Safety and Security though I would just replace the bolts also.

I took my fifth wheel plate off to clean the frame and paint it and all that and mine had Huck bolts. I am replacing them with flange bolts and flange nuts.

Make sure that you use grade 8 bolts and nuts and that you torque them and that after a period of time you torque them again.

Thanks. I called the dealer and they recommended replacing them. $100 for 10 bolts and nuts.

Check with Fastenal that’s where I got mine.
    Might be a better price.

New bolts and hardware are worth it.

Yes, I agree. I probably could find same size/grade bolts much cheaper, but I don't want to take the chance on failure.

The dealer probably buys their bolts from a distributor like Fastenal anyways and then marks them up. As long as the hardware you buy is the same size, length and grade as what you took out you'll be fine.
