That excavator should have been on a double drop..
Same issue as the sherwood park fwy /34st bridge strike this winter.

That overpass had just been repaired from the last bridge strike. You can see the color change from where the last repair ended to the right of the strike.

That bin is still sitting in a field, about 1/2 mile east of the bridge lol.
I went under the new damage on henday, no where near as bad as the last. Maybe 4" too high.

The hwy 21 bridge has a lot of damage.
I'll try and grab a pic tomorrow

I don't know much about IRT but they've been around for a while. Most of their iron I've seen looks like it's pretty well maintained. I would hesitate to say they're your typical fly by night outfit anyways.

I'm willing to bet, someone was in a rush, and didn't want to take the bucket off, so they just sent it like this, and that's the result. Been seeing a lot of sketch equipment hauling, by excavation companies who never used to be sketch. Lots of old guys retiring, and these new guys are always in a rush, weave through traffic with equipment on the back, and never seem to clean their decks off.

Moose Jaw has height warning devices and gets hit yearly they are rebuilding it now but likely will get smoked again once done. Everywhere in Canada I see bridge strikes they should implement a year suspension automatically if you hit a bridge Canada wide.
