As one who recently retired from the federal regulatory agency that issues pilot certificates, I can tell you this is the absolute best approach to take. Getting the piece of paper that says you can drive a commercial vehicle is almost meaningless--remember, until 20 or so years ago, there were no such things. However, getting the truck into the dock in the middle of a small alley with car traffic is what it's all about. That is "learning how to drive," no matter what piece of paper is in your pocket. Well done, BBM. As Yogi Berra would say, 90% of the battle is mental. The other half is physical. You conquered the mental and applied the physical. Now, off to Gary!
