Just remember that a contract is a legal document written by one set of lawyers to benefit one set of people. Whether it is binding or not depends on another set of lawyers and a judge. Your concern should be the possible impact on you; retaining that other set of lawyers to fight a contract when it negatively affects your business can be expensive.

I called Celtic this morning to no avail so, spent 3 hours looking for loads to cover me all week. I found a good one, lumber load no doubt...hmmm, that is paying me 3.67pm for 210 miles, dh was 88, plus the 110 miles I dh'ed to pick up at Red River Army Depot but, that didn't work out. Anyway, got another load after I drop this lumber that picks up 50 miles away and delivers to Wilson, NC,,,which works out for me because I have to stop in Bristol to pickup new tires. All I have to do now is find a load from NC to west of Chattanooga to pick up my pickup and camper and than, find a partial to MI. That all sounds to good for me so, it won't happen but,,,,that being said, I have already located two loads that will get me where I want to go, in TN. Will call on them tomorrow. BTW, I took a chance,,,which I should never do,,,and didn't tarp this lumber. Well lo and behold, it rained off and on too much for me so, I parked and through the tarps on. 45miles to deliver just to take them back off...lol just my luck. The pipe I will be picking up tomorrow needs tarped as well,,,,go figure. It pays like $1.55 pm...crappy but, it was ALL I could find to get me to NC.

Also, on my way to pick up today's load, I get a call from my CEO. He tells me that Celtic agreed with what he had to say about the contract and amended it..go figure.

I forgot to mention,,, The other day, I picked up a load of "crane pads" and the shipping location was a mess. I ended up getting thick mud all over my clean truck, cracked a few plastic parts getting out and breaking off my mud flap hanger. So, I bought two new hangers and light bars to go under each hanger, to make me feel better, lol

The main reason I got them is because when I BT,,,4 wheelers act as though they can't see my tail lights that are 6" apart. Wider Indicators and brake lights make for safer roads...lol

Today I drove the last 250 miiles to Wilson, NC and parked at the Petro in Kenly. I found a light pole that was cemented good enough, to hook a strap to and the other end to my trailer bumper. It took a while but, I got it bent back almost perfect. Good enough for me anyway... I also removed old mudflap hangers and installed new ones, I will hook up my new lights tomorrow. Had a good day over all...

My first job as a flight instructor was at the Rocky Mount Downtown airport a very, very long time ago. My former boss now runs the operation at the Wilson regional airport.
