I have my rig posted on there. The COE I bought, according to the guy who sold it to me, says the clutch is about to go out. I am thinking maybe I will just chance it and drive the dam thing...

I agree, if it's just the clutch.

So you agree I should just drive it? I mean once I get it going, who needs a clutch, right?

Especially bobtail, worst case you could defeat the clutch switch and start in gear.

I have paid a towing company to transport my new rig to an International dealer in Peoria, IL I figure I will let the shop with the most experience on the basic operation of an International, take the first look. Should know something by Tuesday.... They are going to do a full inspection first, as well as check that the clutch even needs replaced. Hoping for the best possible news ever, that the truck is ready to go, nothing wrong and clutch just needed to be adjusted. That would be great but, preparing for the worst just the same.

Got the call from the shop last night, didn't get what I had hoped for but, not a complete loss. Needs Shoes, Drums, Shocks, some air lines, fuel lines, cross-member replaced, tank strap/s connector/s replaced, yoke on front pinion needs seal and has play, and a new used fithwheel. Plus the clutch and a full PM.

Will have a parts and labor quote from them in a few days. Can't imagine paying their quote but, got to start somewhere.

Some of that stuff is diy if your willing. I'd ask what it needs to be legal to drive it home.

    Wickedfire77 and RERM Thank this.
