ok if you look at a s60 engine on the right side theres a tube that goes to the turbo at each end of the tube theres 2 rubber pieces those are the ones Im talking about... my mechanic really speaks basic English so I really don't know the technical name for it! I usually go to the freightliner dealer down the road and show them the piece! and they give it to me... got a 530 mile round trip tomorrow will update if any changes on the mpg

good deal buying the hoses parts an putting them on will save, your clamps should have springs inside the screw to be the org. ones, buy spray to clean up every thing, then you will see leaks before they cause more prob.

I think you are talking about the wastegate actuator. This will dump boost to keep your turbo from overboosting.

achieved 5.03 on a 582 miles light load up to new Hampshire, which is decent on the northeast and hauling cans

so far 5.20 mpg after 370 gallons of diesel, still keeping my cruising speed between 65-68 mph which is better than I expected, now trying to see if I can squeeze may be another .2mpg more!

I have exactly same problem, my truck is verry much like yours,2005 century s60 14L with 13spd and just rebuilt and put on back on the road on oct4th 2013 first 17k miles did good mpg was 6.3 to 7.2After first oil change it dropped down all the way to 3.57mpg So far every thing I could think about cousing this problem checks out fine. Day b4 yesterday I visit detroit dealer in penn. They claim they find out the problem and fixed A-Egr elbow gasket leaking. B-Exhaust manifold slip joint gasket leaking. C-Delta p sensor replaced. D-air in the fuel system which I didn't agreeBut after all this not much change. So far i drove 630m with 10k in the box and about 65mph and I have seeing upto 5.4mpg and after 6hrs of idle 4.94mpgTonight I will be picking up 44k lbs load just to c how much change will happen
