I don't even know where to begin. Bill has pinned the tail on the donkey so to speak. I love that Ethan stole my words from his other thread. LOL. And some words of advice for you Mr. Ethan. I don't know exactly what kind of trailer you are planning to pull. But I will say this. As you have to deal with brokers from the company you are with now. Write down these peoples numbers. Make a list of good and bad. Talk with them a bit. Get a feel for who they are. Yes they are ALL Thieves but still you know what I mean. Tell them you plan on getting your own ride. This may help you in the long run. I know it did me.
Really want my own rig

Also, me living in Florida, as far as I know flatbed freight is pretty hard to find isn't it?
Every time i come out of the house I've either dead headed to Georgia or to Hosford, FL to pickup at a GP.
I live in Hawthorne, and rumor is the plywood gp plant 15 minutes from my house is supposed to open back up soon....

Go for the hood! If you look good, you feel good. And when you feel good, you do good!

Not sure but your new to flats? If so you might want to learn the job first. On someone else's dime , 1 less thing to worry about when it's your truck. -

Going for the hood? Thats a bad sign already!Aerodynamics, and fuel economy rule. All that chrome doesn't make that load pay any more. A truck is a truck. With chrome and stacks its still nothing but a truck.
