I would love to see a picture of this truck, and the company name as well. Why not put it out in the open.

 

Or better yet, stop driving anything. You ( OP ) are a danger to everyone else on the road.

Keep a paper log every day, have the owners get replacement lights, for which ever style is on the truck and trailer, its winter and they will go out, takes less time to change a light than do a DOT, if you arent sure about the logbook, have whoever you give your paperwork to show you.

 

It will be there for 3yrs on your driving record. The reality in trucking is that there is ALWAYS a job for you. Having that stuff on your record will prevent you from being hired at some but not all. Your biggest concern is the DOT and bottomfeeder lawyers. If theres an accident/fatality you can end up in prison. Is the extra money worth it? Bottom line is trucking companies couldnt care less about you or your family. You have to protect yourself. Theres been a driver shortage for years in trucking. You have more power than you think. If youre a good driver and refuse to cheat they wont fire you. Good luck out there stay safe.
