On the Qualcomm thing, my wife and I were driving for Covenant in early 2008, going from Phoenix to Kansas City for UPS. It was Saturday morning around 1000, and I got a nasty message on the Qualcomm stating "get your a&& out of Sky City right now or you're fired". It further stated "you have until 1500 CST to make it to Kansas City, if you don't, you're fired".
I called weekend dispatch and asked them what the heck they were talking about. Why the need to threaten us? The guy started going off about how "you drivers" hang out at the casino, yada, yada, yada, and how this was a timed UPS run, yada, yada, yada...
I asked.. "you think we're in Sky City?" He said "YES, why?" I stopped the truck, and asked him to google a Ford dealership in Wichita, KS... I asked him to humor me on this. He did. I then asked him if that dealer's street number was 9460? He said yes. I said... shall I take a photo of the Ford store and send it to you, because THAT is where we are. We'll be in KC by 1200.
He actually apologized, and asked that we get our Qualcomm checked at the next shop visit.panhandlepat Thanks this. -
What happened to the picture? Looks like a certain embarrassed company had it removed.

Back when I run the northeast, I use to stop at Carlise, PA regularly. I forget now. What is it a Petro/TA now use to be the American or something like that? Anyways, I noticed a truck that was sitting there for weeks. Everytime I would stop there, more parts were missing off of it.
I called the company and they thanked me. They said they been looking for that truck. I thought it was funny it turned into a parts truck. -

Chalupa; You are right. these schools will take your money and tell you you're guaranteed an interview--big diff between that and a job. You still need 500 to 1000 hours to be considered and most pilots will have more than the minimums. I did it a long time ago but I let Uncle Sammy provide my training and hours. Not complaining, it was a great gig and I loved it.

It may work like onstar
Onstar can't tell you where a vehicle is after the cars been turned off 24 hours -
Or maybe Photobucket's got the flu. I doubt Werner could have 'em deleted. How's the job search going? Hey, is the lake full again?
