Ratios need to be the same for both axles. If they're not, somebody goofed. Don't go any further until you have corrected the mismatch.

I wouldn’t think it would make 5 miles before it went to spitting #### out on the highway with them being that far apart. Power divider locked in or not. There is power to both differentials all the time. One does not pull more than the other. If one looses traction then all the power is lost to that one. All the power divider is is a basic spider gear set.
I know someone is gonna throw out the old but my rear tires wear faster argument. -
Maybe remove the rear driveshaft for now and make it a 6x2 until you can get it sorted.

That's not a good idea either from my understanding. If you remove the rear drive shaft you have to lock the power divider or you won't move. And all the power will go through that one axle and it's not designed to take all the power. Good chance of destroying it. And as said before its highly unlikely he has these vastly different ratios anyway
