So my prostar has had the feeling of sliding when I'm bob tailing or pulling a trailer. Can't go around corners faster the 35mph with out the feeling of loosing control doesn't glide around corners either feels like the backs sliding out and fronts fighting it. Drove around the block with the PDL on and truck rode solid and great.. drained the oil a bit on my rears and NO chunks but small micro specs of metal in the oil.. any ideas??? When I drive the truck it feels like I'm just gliding along and feels very light not like when the PDL is on and it feels tight and sturdy
Rear end question

Are all your tires the same size? Maybe some are newer than others?

Hmmm i should look into it.. truck came with recaps in all the backs..truck was in a jackknife and has t been the same since I should add

When did this start to happen? Right after the accident or was it a few days or weeks?
The metal filings in rear, I wouldn't get to alarmed about. After all you do have metal working on metal. Some wear does occur.
Keep an eye on it and check for larger pieces. Maybe send a sample of your rear oil to be analyzed.
Not sure what a PDL is.
Did you check your axle bearings for any play? This would give you the sliding feeling. Pull and check your axle shaft. Maybe the odd torque from the accident has caused some internal damage?
Obviously all guesses from me. Good Luck. -
Power divider lock = PDL

I noticed it a few days after the accident it started to happen. I had a 3 axel alignment and my toe aligned and the shop went threw all my king pins and bearings and said they looked great I'm not sure if they checked axel bearings gonna have someone look at them tomorrow and possibly the Inner axel its self thanks

Obvious. Something happened from the accident and it took a few days for it show.
The power divider locks in the front drive, I believe. The problem seems to be in the rear axle.
Hard to say. Check rear rear first, than front rear axle.
There are Mechanics on here much better than I. I just turn a wrench on my own truck.
Good luck. -
I appreciate all the help I'll post when and if they find the prob tomorrow thanks
