I know what u mean but it's the early 2000's when this happened. Not the 80's or the 90's. Foreign truckdrivers have ruined this industry and are looking to weed American truckers out. Something needs to be done or all truckers will be Foreign. I've been driving close to 30 years and I hate to think of the possibilities of losing our industry to Foreign drivers.

You know, 90 years ago there were people complaining about all these "EYE-talians and Bo-hunks" getting into the transportation business. It seems that nothing changes...

So here it is: Lately, on open highways, I've noticed that some truckers, totally unlike days past, will camp out in the left lane. Sometimes they are driving as slow as 10 to 15mph below the speed limit. There's slow traffic on the right. But they won't pass. Nothing in front of them, they won't pass.

They will sit in the left lane forever. I mean; never moving right or showing any intention of moving right. I flash my lights and am ignored.

And this is different. I've never seen it like this. This is happening a lot lately. Almost every time I get on a highway for a long drive. Within one or two hours, there it is. You can bet on it. In all my decades of driving I've never seen anything like it.

In past times, I've always looked to the truckers being the ones to get upset about people not following the rules of the road. But today ... ?

What is happening? What has changed?

Again, not trying to insult truckers. Totally the opposite. I have a huge amount of respect for a very tough and dangerous job. Just trying to figure out what has changed. Thanks in advance.

A big source of aggravation that I see on a fairly regular basis are the ones who slowly poke along only to floor it as soon you hit the next lane to pass. Then when you move back over, the offender slows right back down.

Nobody maintains their pace.
