Wonder what would happen if Chuck Norris punched your beard.

Like an irresistible force meeting an immovable object.

You know you own the whole backing thing when you see the dock hands on lunch break taking bets, then all losing it to the one guy that bet you'd nail it.

Absolutely not, you need to stand up and tell them the laws are set, and they are putting you in harms way. Hold them accountable; remember you kill someone the company gets off, you don't. I wrote an article on HOS, tell them to read it. LOL. truckerlifestylepro.com check it out, its good reading.

Necroed my thread to push an article, eh?

Thanks, but I'm all figured out now. I set them straight and by following the HOS, I go home 2-3 times a week, meet their silly deadlines, and I never have to go....far out of hours.....and even then, it's those stupid situations, like my alarm not going off and wasting an extra hour of my clock.

I hate to rain on your parade but if a company driver is running out of hours and is involved in a fatal accident that company does not necessarily get off Scott free. First the company stands a great chance of getting CSA points. Next there is a fantastic chance of a lawsuit. This is the reason drivers really need to have their Safety departments on speed dial. Way too many drivers are either afraid of or too timid to call Safety. It really is a shame that in most companies the drivers and Safety seem to be enemies. Safety can be your best friend if you let them.
