Reasons To Avoid Leases & Lease-Purchase Programs

Id like to know where the programs are Sir, because I am looking to get BACK into the trucking industry after a 13 year absence. Ill say this though, its no easier being employed at a so called 9 to 5 job these days than it ever was in my time driving for a living. Pretty much any and all employers will screw you without any lube just as quick as they think you are costing them one red cent.

 

There are some good ones out there. In 8/05 I got into a 2 year old 379 w/ 323K miles on it for $80K. 0 down 0% interest $1,333 per month, made the last payment on it in Sept. The company even financed a $21K inframe for me at 0% also.

Deals like this are rare and I work for a great guy, unfortunately too many people that didn't know how to manage a truck got into the same deal failed and walked away from a truck in poor repair, so they stopped doing this.

When I was still making payments as long as I had the money in my escrow I could call and get $5K or whatever amount I wanted deposited into my checking account just by asking for it. The reason didn't matter, it could even be to take a stripper to Vegas.

It's just a matter of being in the right place at the right time... deals like this still have to be out there, but it seems like most are just a way to get screwed. I also won't work for a big company.... they seem to be the worst.
