Sounds too good to be true, especially if the parts are actually produced here.

Be just like some Fitzgerald gliders, non DD parts, start failing around 300k or less.
Ask if they will sell you a longer warranty.Vampire, Keithdabarber and joey8686 Thank this. -
As much as I hear about the Fitzgerald Chinese parts disasters, which seems to be rampant. No one ever knows the actual brand of the parts. A good rebuild kit for a 12.7 can be had for $2000, a head $2000, and injectors $2000. Maybe a little less. So $5700, is very comparable to others. DD kit might be $2600, including rod and mains, which cost extra, The aftermarket kits are mostly just as good. I used the FP Diesel Kit. Made in America. $1900. Best to avoid aftermarket heads, I’ve been told. Sometimes they’re milled too much, causing problems. More important is the quality of the work done. Cutting the block, getting protrusion heights correct. A quick change of parts, and crossing of the fingers, is usually the causes of failures. You should be able to get a quality inframe, for about $11k, with labor. Just under $14k with bull gear.I don’t know anything about ATL, other than their advertising. If your in Texas, M&D distributers has the FP Kit for $1890, includes bearings. Free shipping. They may know some good local mechanics, that do overhauls. The kit made by Mahle, is a little bit more. Includes original DD pistons. Clevite bearings. Though some say they’re made in China. Don’t really know, but my neighbor used the Mahle kit, and it’s done good so far, after 2 yrs. Look up Mahle, and FP Diesel ( Federal Mogul). Read all about it. Top notch technology from both.Just be sure to use a DD reman head. Usually $2100, cheaper through Freightliner Dealer, than a DD Dealer. Again, Freightliner in Houston, has pretty good prices. Sometimes by opening an account, you can get a decent discount. Injectors are often on sale as a 6 pack, for $2100, or less.
