JW on mygauges.com with truck name "MB Pennystacker" has almost 200,000 miles on his MB inframe he did back in March 2012 if you want to check it out and will be glad to give you his phone number to talk to about it if you PM me. He is leased on to Landstar with his own trailer and has some 10+ mpg runs.

JW is also the one that has the peel and stick solar panels on the roof of his trailer for over a year now.

I thought dice did his main and rod bearings. Did I miss that somewhere?
i am getting ready to rebuild my cat also and was thinking of letting pp do it. They want an extra $2500 to micro blue the motor. I drive a 379 and was getting low to mid 6 always heavy mostly oversize. Changed the boots on the air to air and now getting high 6 to low 7. I didn't even know they were leaking. My motor is running great and has plenty of power and burns or leaks a gallon of oil in about 7000 miles. But I have a ton of blow by. That is the only reason I am considering a rebuild. The thing that worries me about a rebuild is I hear where a lot of people are having problems with the cat rebuild kits. Was hoping if pp did the rebuild and micro bluing they would catch any problem with the kit.

My mains and rod bearings are MBed. Did them when I fixed an oil pan leak, but I have not done the liners, pistons and rings. I believe any problems with inframing Cats has come with aftermarket kits or non-Cat OEM parts. When I inframe my Cat 3406E, it will be using a CAT OEM kit that will be MBed.

I have around 800,000 miles sent I inframed it last and it currently is only using 1 gallon of Mobil One 5W40 synthetic oil every 18,000 miles. A long ways from needing an inframe.

Just finished 2 back to back dedicated roundtrip runs from NC to AL using 53' dry vans filling up with non-winter blend in southern AL and got over 10 mpg on both runs. This was right after I tried a fuel temp sensor wiring harness for one of those runs that got 8.3 mpg. That piece of useless garbage came right off after it wasted 20 gallons of fuel on this dedicated run.

Don't know about the aftermarket parts. Thompson cat rebuilt one of my brothers and he is having problems with it and the cat house in or around Pensacola rebuilt another drivers that is leased on to us and both are having problems. Less than 10000 on both rebuilds. Also heard something about a bulletin cat has out talking about bad liners. Want to know for sure before I redo mine and thinking pp will be the way to go.
