LOL yes that happened to me too. I was on here talking bout how you won't blow a tire if you do a good pre-trip. Blew one the next week. Karma. Truth be known tho, it was on a double drop trailer so my pre trip was less than stellar on that inside dual.spyder7723 Thanks this.

I haven't blown a tie sobe i stopped being a cheap ### and buying chinese junk. Virgin or capped, a good quality tie isn't gonna blow unless you damaged it. Id trust a continental, michelin, or bridgestone cap. The guys that have problems with caps is because they don't check air pressure and they buy caps made by Billy Bob in his shed.cnsper Thanks this.

Lots of orings to go bad in those systems. Nothing is better than just sticking them with a calibrated gauge.

i had a air inflation system retrofitted onto my first trailer, money well spent, been 4-5 years now trouble free other than tire monkeys breaking fittings.
i have cat eyes on everything else. except my steer and pusher axle. also money well spent. carry a couple extra hoses just in case but worse case even with the inflation system. you can disable it and run without it for a bit if need be. -
Back in the days all we had was cat eyes ,that's a way back in the early 1990 some were way around there
