Yeah it can be done just means you won't be able to put in any really long days however if you only need to do 8 hours driving per day it'll work out quite well.

Your eld sends a e-mail to the US Marshals.... and they come and deal with you personally.Studebaker Hawk and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.

Recaps are easy ... Stop worrying about trying to set up hours. You always have 70 hours coming to you in the next 8 days. You just have to keep track of when.
-
What do you have a Qualcomm or Peoplenet unit?
-
You don't need to do an exact 8.75 a day.
That's madness.
I've been on caps for 2 weeks.
There are going to be days when you load, or unload that won't eat much time.
You unload, run complete, don't reload until tomorrow 75 miles away at 1400.
By the time you're loaded, where are you going to go before it's dark, you're tired. So you probably drive an hour, two at the most to strategic truck stop, then head out early the next day.
Now you probably have 20 plus hours available.
How many can you really use in a day?
You also have to factor where will I be ( how far down the highway ) when I get my next day back, etc. -

Just learn how to be stingy with your time recorded as on duty or driving, make every second count. Your clock always revives at midnight.
Odin's Rabid Dog Thanks this. -
And let's not forget the thing I assume all should know but perhaps some never needed to pay attention to -
pay attention to your eLog device. Somewhere it's telling you how many hours you have coming tomorrow and how many hours come the day after tomorrow, and on back as far as 8 days into the future.
If you're not paying attention and making a mental note and always aware of the hours coming at least in the next 2 days, you will soon find yourself in some serious logistical crap.
Odin's Rabid Dog and motocross25 Thank this. -
I find it funny how some give a ton of advice to others but don’t have the experience to know how to do some of the easy things.
kemosabi49 Thanks this. -
I know nothing about Peoplenet.
.
Make sure you have a paper log book and an instruction sheet on how to operate your elogs to hand a DOT officer with you.
Next week is the blitz.
