There was a company on CL awhile back that advertised specifically to felons. I think it was in Vegas. I'll find the thread and post the link.
I thought it was funny that they advertised specifically for felons but I shared it here to help people just like youPuppage Thanks this. -
If all else fails there is the second chance company Carolina Cargo. You will not make much but you can get some time driving built up with them if you don't have any issues.

Looks like you have to live near Vegas for this outfit, I don't know your location.
I also see you're looking for schooling now.
You could apply at LTL companies as a dockworker and after sometime they'll put you through training to get your CDL and you'll have a better job than you'll likely find now.street beater Thanks this. -

Seriously you have 2 year old felony theft charges and you expect someone to entrust you with a $100,000+ truck trailer and freight.
You have to be joking.Canned Spam, lagbrosdetmi and TROOPER to TRUCKER Thank this. -
Don't listen to anyone that says you can't get a CDL and drive being a felon you might have to pay out of pocket for school but there are company's that will hire you. Then when you get experience even more will hire you I know this for a fact. GOOD LUCK and you don't have to drive for carolina cargo...Where do you live ..I have felonies and i'm rolling right now and one of those was felony theft....your problem will be finding a company that will put you through school then hire you your best bet get your CDL on your on dime.
Dreazz75 Thanks this. -
LTL companies I know of that train dockworkers to get your CDL.
USF Holland (probably the fastest route, I see ads for dock to driver training all the time)
YRC
Fedex Freight
UPS (would likely take forever with a lot of grunt work but pay and benefits are ridiculous, and you'll probably have to start part-time)
Old Dominion -
Chinatown and CasanovaCruiser Thank this.

Perhaps he's in a bad location and sees trucking as a way out of the "trap". As long as he's committed and drug free I see no problems with second chances.Puppage, bottomdumpin, Concorde and 1 other person Thank this.
