If you can hold out for like 6 more months, it'll be way easier for you to get good jobs. Once you get a year OTR, then you have companies like Abco, Sunstone Carriers, Armellini, all of which are Florida based, they would hire you. Also look at Kottke Transportation. I know they have a terminal there even though they're based in Minnesota. I'd also take a look at Heyl Truck Lines. I say them because the last time I went to Florida, I had to reload out of Bradenton at Tropicana. They had quite a few dropped trailers there so I'm thinking they have a presence there as well.

Armellini is a little north in Palm City....... it is Team and there is some labor involved. Rolling out plants to Lowes and home depots etc....... but they are only out about 3 days or so and back to reload so you could hit home multiple times a month

 

anderson columbia out of lake city hire CDL graduate but I believe you live to far south if you don't mind driving to ocala everyday

 

Try out a ready mix concrete company driving concrete trucks you can get experience driving one of them
