And the reason YOU pay for it is so that YOU don't sell COMPANY equipment. Why do you think Prime took this route? Drivers were selling company equipment to make some cash and reporting it lost and/or stolen. Then there's the whole issue of you take care of stuff better if YOU own it.

    jayhawker_1012 and da1 Thank this.

And honestly? $2500? Chump change, when you compare the expense of other jobs. Mechanic: most places say "must have own tools" --- minimum starting? $5-7k. When I started grooming? Equipment was almost that (of mechanics) plus the rent on the store front. I think we dropped $15k when we opened the shop.

Wow!!! The equipment is also a lot more expensive at a t/s or other place.

When JCW left the car fixin' trade, he had well over $35k of tools in his $5k toolbox. (Yes, it was a monster). And that doesn't include the impact wrenches and guns that he had to replace at $250 - $700 EACH.

What the heck is the deal here folks? If you are at risk for sleep apnea, it is best that you get tested. For YOUR SAKE. The CPAP will save your life.

Of course, perhaps you enjoy slowly starving your entire body of oxygen.

I agree with you 100%! I called my mother yesterday and asked her if we had a history of sleep apnea in our family. She said at her last doctor visit the doc wanted her to take a sleep test because she has all the risk factors associated with apnea. She declined. I told her about the what drivers were saying on this forum about how the test and the being treated for apnea was the best thing they had ever done. Hopefully she will head my advice and go back to the doctor and have the sleep test done
