Using any kind of medication at all ro control blood sugar, blood pressure, and anything else is not ideal. You are using drugs to fight against what your body is trying to do.
If your cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar levels are high, it is because that is what your body needs them at.

Fix the cause of these problems instead. Treating the symptoms with medications will often just make the cause of the problem get worse.

I agree with everything you stated, but the blood sugar part. In this, I am with you maybe 95% of the time. Diabetes is so often misunderstood. With T2D, lifestyle changes over time can result in no more drugs to help control it. The problem, though, is that a few folks like me have developed Latent autoimmune diabetes, which is commonly called type 1.5, and lifestyle changes alone won't control my diabetes. I will be injecting insulin for the remainder of my life, even though I am technically NOT a type 1 diabetic.

That is a slowly progressing type 1 that gradually loses the ability to produce insulin, correct? I knew a guy with type 1 before and it is sad knowing that there is nothing that can be done to cure yourself of the condition. Yes that is one of the few exceptions where modern medicine is truly needed.
