Driving for a temp. agency, get a reckless driving and a speeding ticket. There will always be Grandpas in your way and cops that hate truckers. They are not going away. If you do not revise your outlook/attitude then you will not be a driver for very long. Think I'm talking out my neck. I also got a $10K reckless driving ticket. Nearly end my career.

Opinions differ. I've never been in jail, or on drugs. Neither has my 22 year old son.

Something tells me that this isn't the first time you've done something like this - just the first time that you got caught.

Honestly, I'd like to see drivers like you taken off the road. There is absolutely NO reason for you to be running 70mph in a 55mph zone. None. You drive local, so what's that get you? 3 minutes, maybe. I'll bet that Grandma was also doing somewhere between 55 and 60.

Knoxville has had lots of serious collisions involving trucks; I don't blame them for aggressive enforcement.

Either drive your rig at the speed limit and stay out of the restricted lanes, or find another job so you stop giving the rest of us a bad image.

I always find those that want others to suffer by being taken off the road are generally the biggest offenders... I bet your one of those who flash your lights and hoot the horn when I'm going over 40east in the curves at 40mph instead of 50 mph cause it's foggy?
Having two speed limits cars 65 trucks 55 is far more unsafe than the incident the OP posted. All it is a revenue generating toool for Tn.

You keep beating that drum and you may jinx yourself. Like I told you before there's two kinds of people in this world.
The caught and the uncaught. Maybe you'll get to join the ranks of the caught?

It's not a matter of him 'suffering'. It's a matter of safety. I have no sympathy for any driver that willingly exceeds the posted speed limit and drives in restricted lanes.

It's also not a matter of split speed limits. He was exceeding the CAR speed limit as well as the truck speed limit. How can you point to that as being a revenue generating tool?

Besides, they can't generate any revenue if you're driving at the posted speed limit, now can they?

Autocar, DocHoliday, truckon and 2 others Thank this.
