You haven't seen the first "Wack-Pack" TM for RadioActiveRadio*
    Your assumptive details PROVE IT!
I have an early issue (pre-Super Wack Pack)and I fail to see any of your
    claims.
FWIW ,Its a smoking loud radio that gets out very well, the receive is as most others that exceed OEM,but hardly pre-amp levels

So back it up with something realistic Bruce :yes2557:
Remember Bruce, when posting here you are talking to Truck Drivers
therefore you must speak their tongue or remain in your self imposed
    hierarchy status.

Your face value here drops faster then US government support when you fail to do so.
Kinda odd your not near as respected on the other forums,
whys that ?:biggrin_2559:Likely cause the ham boards also view you as a redundant commercial:yes2557: to smart for your own good . . . . . . .

ray has worked in that location for about 8 years now, previously under a diff name, but about 3 yrs ago ray bought that shop and ray and 1 other tech (andy) are the only ones that are there. ray/andy are the only 2 techs that have worked on my stuff for the last 10+yrs and havent had any issues. under previous ownership in that locaton there were several techs that worked their and got that place a bad reputation. but ray is sole owner of the establishment, changed the name and phone # and has had great success in the last few years, ray is there m-f and now andy is usually there on sat working part-time. hopefully i cleared some of that up because i have known ray for years and he is great guy that has been in the business for 35 years.

O.K. I too agree Ray is one of the best. The guy that does mine doesn't know Ray personally, but he knows his work and says Ray is very good. The guy I use has been doing it for about 40 years and recommends Ray and nobody else in this part of the country. Recently somebody brought a radio into Russ' shop and said Ray had worked on it. He described the location of the shop and it matched Ray's location. The radio was not done in a quality manner. Had some weird mods that you typically see out of truck stop CB shops (like the one on the east side of the truck stops at Memphis). Russ said there is no way Ray did that kind of work. Therefore we assumed somebody else in Ray's shop did it, or Ray was no longer there. A man's work is his signature. (of course the guy could have been confused on where he took it, didn't sound like it though.)

again, depending on how long ago it was done, it very well could have come out of that shop under someone else's hands while it was still under the prior ownership. But ray is alive/well and still doing great work. i may have misspoken the time frame in my earlier post, i believe ray has had the shop solely for about the last year and a half.(my sometimers kicking in again!)

As I hear some say ... Garbage in Garbage out The guy is a hack shop there is no standard for a REAL CB repair shop no licensing no FCC requirements since the owner of the radio is the one who will pay the price. You can defend him all you want but that's the facts.

How many HAMS or PART 90 radios have WACK-PACKS installed I'll bet #### few and the reason why is no one wants to turn a good radio into a pile of trash .... A TM is useless does he hold a Paten for this WACK-PACK and has it been approved for any service ... if so what is the FCC aprovial number ?????????

    I think not.

IF you take a radio to any of these shops they are happy to take your money since a fool and his money are soon parted .... :yes2557:

Unless Ray has moved recently, he has been in the same location, there across from the Petro, I believe, for several years. Before that he was at Everybody's Electronics west of I-55 south. I never stop in West Memphis and so I have never been to his shop, but a lot of our drivers use him. He has been there four or five years I'm sure. This incident I described took place in the last few months. Again, we aren't working with too many facts here so who knows. If you use ANY CB shop in W. Memphis, just be sure the guy's the name is Ray and you will be fine!

mike5511, you are correct, Ray is near the Petro, next to the McDonalds. He is in the little strip center with not a very good sign, blacked out storefront. There are other CB shops nearby that I would not use.
