That one will give you some issues but I think you can still find somewhere to work. When I got started, I had to go to Western Express. I had a speeding ticket for 17 over. I'd try them. It ain't going to be the best place but it ain't the worst. You can make decent money there is you run hard. With a speeding ticket, you'll have to take what you can get. I'd try Covenant Transport, National Carriers too. I want to say those may be a little more forgiving. Send out a bunch of apps and take whatever you can get and stay there til the ticket falls off in 3 years. How long ago was the suspended license ticket?

OP!!!!! Please don't take my words the wrong way! I'm attempting to kick UP not down! You had better learn to guard that CDL like it was made out of gold! Because it is!!!! You are going to have some carriers tell you to go have dinner with satan at first! You are marginal at best when it comes to being insurable. However, right now some carriers are so hard up for drivers they will overlook a lot Slow the hell down in the future because now that you have a CDL these tables become active EVEN in your personal vehicle! Again, I'm not trying to bust your balls! Just trying to get you to understand how important that CDL is now!

17 mph over the speed limit is 'reckless driving' by trucking company insurance companies.

Right, get a traffic lawyer to help get that one reduced to a lower speed.
Doubt you will be hired until that ticket is settled.

    That's 'reckless driving'
Ask a traffic lawyer to try and get it reduced to under 15 mph over the limit.
