As a company driver I drove five new trucks all with ParkSmart would sit for days no problem. You guys forget that you can idle your truck for an hour to fully recharge the electric APU batteries good for another 10 hours. Plus I never cranked it to the max like some of you guys that like winter year round. I keep mine on the low setting and it worked perfectly for me which is why I want it.
Recommended electric sleeper A/C?

to me, they are about as bad as the old Pontiac Fiero......or should i say..Pontiac fireball..??? -
I consider "normal" summer heat now in the 85-95 range....Not the 110+ Phoenix summer days.
I used to live in Phoenix and wouldn't want my battery electric APU if i was living out there.
The carrier unit is diesel electric, you can run it on a extension cord if desired with more cooling power than my Dometic Battery AC system offers...
NOTE;
The biggest killer to battery APUs is the batteries just aren't good enough even with the best lead acid AGMs available.
If they started using lithium batteries the weight would be much much less and far more bettery capacity. I use (8) enersys Odyssey 31s and it still falls short in heavy use.Last edited: Oct 30, 2018
