    That's a strange question. The AC cycles and runs with defrost to pull moisture away all on it's own. You don't have to go out of your way to run it. They found a long time ago AC systems last longer if they run year round and the seals stay lubricated instead of dry rotting over the winter.

    And the AC compressor usually runs when the defroster is in use. Without the AC help, you get fog.

    I've also noticed my ac randomly turns on during the day anyways kinda like a auto cycle.
