You absolutely should be concerned. You should either have them send verify everything is all 100% via email, or tell them you are going to record the line(check the laws for your state on recording without permission).

If they don't want to allow you to have a paper trail, or allow you to basically be an adult who is concerned, then you should be concerned. You have to remember they go through hiring people 1,000s of times each year, and they have better lawyers than you. COVER YOUR ### NO ONE ELSE WILL! Don't listen to the guys telling you to just call, and not at least record the call!

PS: I don't drive for Prime, but man you gotta CYA. These companies know the tricks, and count on people not catching them, or knowing the proper way to back themselves up. Just like how many people quit/get fired and forget to send a resignation letter, get a signature/pictures verifying the truck is 100% returned, and a done deal.

1: have you filled out the online application? That has just about everything they need. You can print out the filled app at the end.

2: your recruiter will call you if any additional info is needed. They will verify your work history and request forms filled out by your last employer. Blame Obama for this one, as it is a recent requirement from the fed govt.

3: your recruiter is on the phone 98% of his/her day. What is the issue with holding for a while? You do want a job, right? Have some understanding from their perspective.

4: if you listen to these negative posters, you are a weak person. A strong, independent person will take all info and make an informed decision, ON THEIR OWN.

I worked with my recruiter over email, myself. Mainly, because I didn't have much of an active phone line to do a lot of phone calls to her office.
