The recruiter doesn't want their lies in a retrievable format. They can lie all they want on the phone.

The recruiter is probably being slack in doing their job. Perhaps you're asking questions that (should be asked!) he/she doesn't want to answer.
If they're on vacation, they'll put that on their voice mail or have their phones forwarded to another recruiter in the office.
"Hi, this is Debbie. I'll be out of the office until August 22nd. If you need assistance, please speak with John at extension 2345 or leave a message and I'll return your call when I return."
I'd guess it's time for a different recruiter. -
@Rug Trucker: I am not neccassarly quiting or closing a business to work for Prime my small company has ran its course and done what i needed it to do..I am doing it to get into the trucking industry and being "Green" they seem to offer the best oppurtunity to get trained and started. The next best I have seemed to find is Central Refigerated only draw back is very short training period and dont feel that would be enough to take a rig out on my own, theres A LOT more to it than just guiding a truck/trailer down the road.
I also agree with maybe I am asking all the right follow up questions and they dont want to answer them in a email format.. I have plenty of time to get it figured out and decide whom to go with...thanks for everyones feedback on the topic all responses appreciated.. -
I was just thinking the same about the two weeks training myself. I'm torn in between two worlds. After years of research and moving from MD to AZ I'm trynna decide to go with Swift or Central. The downside to Swift is 7 weeks with a trainer. I'm a people person but I'd rather train in four weeks with a trainer. I'm not letting the horror stories get to me and I do believe some are true. Looking for a lil advice from anyone on here.

Maybe there is some confusion. I am not familiar with Central Reefer. Maybe 2 weeks to get your CDL then you are going to train on the road. BTW Central is Swift. Many of the same players. IIRC they push for you to lease more than Swift.
I did 15 months at Swift until I could get a good paying local gig. I got my license at TN Tech. I was out of trucking for over 20 years.
TruckermanD Swift won't take you until you are 23.
I had a great trainer at Swift. We still talk every week. He was in my area and we had dinner. 7 weeks goes by fast.
Myself I hate dealing with the slow arrogant people in grocery warehouses. Reefer would have put me there nearly all the time. -
BTW look at the newer solo trucks Prime is buying. Flat top small berth tiny cramped coffins.
They don't give a poot about the driver.
