Union leaders spent much of the retirement fund on lavish meetings and political donations.
The fund may eventually be turned over to the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation.
After that, they'll be lucky to get a few hundred a month.
I know one company where the pension was cut from $1200.00 a month to $159.00 a month after the pension was turned over to the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation.

 

Considering I can make $1400 in maybe 3 days, they can stick the pension thing in their ###.

Yep, The days of grinding out 20 or 30 years for the same company and getting a nice fat pension check at the end are long gone. Now? You’re on your own to build your own retirement. And I wouldn’t suggest the stock market either. Myself? A few easy to manage rental properties but hopefully I can tend to into my 70s or so.

With what we’re seeing happening in the world today, Aldi’s idea of pensions and 401(k)s and employer matching funds and all that, you can’t count on any of that anymore.

 

Drivers mostly die after they retire. No he's the care giver for my Aunt.

He's in his early 60's.

I told him when the time comes, there's runs he can do and make $5000 in less than 2 weeks, then kick around if he wants for the rest of the month.

So I have a feeling he's going tell them to stick their $350 week in their ### as well.
