It doesn't take 16kW to power their AC units. They're running their whole house on gensets of that size. Find a standard 2.5 ton unit and see how many amps it draws. I don't think it's going to be 60.

That's not entirely unreasonable. Backup generators only put out a finite amount of power, and running a building is a lot more draw than an 18 wheeler's electrical and a/c. They probably prioritized lights, computers and monitoring devices heart monitors, alarms, and the machine that goes *ping*) probably not much power left over for an entire centralized HVAC system. Probably would take two CAT 15s just for circulating coolant and powering the fans.

Well then, if that's what it takes that's exactly what they need.

For the elderly and infirm to be exposed to sweltering temperatures and humidity is absolutely inexcusable, especially when someone could be paying $8000 a month for their father or whomever to reside there.

Just because we put people away in nursing homes to be exposed to such things as this A/C issue or even lying in their own feces for what could be days on end thanks be to lazy wannabe nurses having parked their fat butts in front of the boob tube watching Jerry Springer, does NOT mean we just forget about them.
