I told him there weren't any reverse lights on it when I bought the thing. He figured I should've put some in my 14 hole lightbar from 4States apparently.

Iowa likes to play that game with me cause I got no reverse lights either .. I got two 2" work lights in my tail light panel I always tell them to get back there and look and see if they light up when I put.it in reverse.. they seem.not very interested in doing that with cow crap on the side of the trailer if they do I just stick it in a gear and flip the switch on ... F ... em

I simply told him there was no switch for it on the transmission, he seemed confused and I didn't have the crayons or time to explain it to him.

If you're worried someone might mistake breather lights for tail lights, why doesn't that happen just driving normally with a trailer? Your truck's tail lights are still visible under the trailer.

You asked the question “why would I want red breather lights on the backside of my breather”.
**disclaimer** I speak for me and not anyone else, but me. That’s the way it has been done in this industry for at least the 35 years I have been trucking and more importantly I like them. Technically the red lights I have inside the breathers are indirect lighting and can also be seen from the front of the vehicle but are legal. I also have mirror mounted amber lights facing to the rear, but they are only used as turn indicators which are also legal. If I burned Amber lights facing rearward constantly these would be illegal. It’s your truck so if you don’t like them, by all means take them off. If someone were to hit me because they saw red on the backside of my breathers and try to use that as an excuse I don’t see them being successful. I guess I just like living on the wild side and burning red lights. Chicken Lights are definitely a sickness, but I haven’t found a 12 step program to help break me of this disease. 8E88F87D-86BE-4879-AF28-324F60553691.png 91A7C70C-891D-4D46-8D02-2C74FD649755.png 6065F40A-EAA9-4E59-9E4F-7EFDBBF55DBD.png

Just buy the dual revolution lights. They are clear lens and glow red for running, stop, or turn but will glow white in reverse.

Plenty of trucks rolled out of the factory with lollipop directionals on the front fenders, red facing rear.

Any truck built before March 7, 1989 doesn’t require a reverse light.
