Getting too personal in here. I guess I hurt a nerve. Yeah I'm certain I don't work for swift. I certainly wouldn't be ashamed of it. They make me laughing but if that's what I did, I wouldn't deny it.

Banners is a different story. I fact utta illegal in many states to have banners when you dont need them. But a coupe red flags on the end of the load is just a good idea. To many morons out there that will Gerry tunnel vision on your dot bar or tail lights and run smack dab right into the load right in front of them at eye level.

Plus some states require flags if you run after dark.

Off topic but maybe one of you knows this. Can you route a 12 wide load over the us 60/62 bridge at the Mississippi river?

I don't think so. Why would you? It is a few miles shorter to just run I57 between Charleston & Cairo. I cross the skinny bridge into Wickliffe more than I do heading to/from Missouri...and know for a fact THAT bridge has signs stating legal loads only. Can't recall if that sign is by the IL/MO bridge, too, or if it is just the IL/KY bridge. Like I said, though, crossing the Mississippi, just like run I57. If you're continuing on to KY, you'll have to run a few extra miles around. Those bridges are barely wide enough for a pair of 102" trucks to meet. Over-width loads have to shut the whole bridge down while they cross. Farmers do it from time to time with their equipment...but you know how it goes with them farmers.

    Airborne and cke Thank this.

Thanks. It was late and I completely forgot you could get on 57 just a few miles up the road. just so used to making that left turn coming from ky. But doesn't matter now that i know i cant come across from ky. If i gotta run 24 up to 57 i might as well take 64 to 70 and on over.
Now I'm hoping Colorado will let me run 160 across. Final destination is the middle of no where south west Colorado. I figure they finally finished reworking wolf creek. Been almost 20 years, surely that road project is done by now.
