the school(s) i worked as, as instructor, i had seen that way too many times

why..??

yard trucks are run in IDLE ONLY when backing, NO FUEL IN THE YARD, and those trucks idle just fine for backing up.

however, came bad weather, like snow or ice storms, and many times, the instructors, and mechanics, in a rush to get then parked away from the yard, to a better parking area....POOF...flames like no tomorrow...lol

so yeah, that bright orange and getting nearly white glow..??

on yeah, lots of melting metal goin's on there....!!!!!!

i did find it "odd", that the bend in the stack, just near the top..??

is not glowing....lol
