nope as long as yore bumper passed the white line you have the right of way to complete your cross. now if an accident happens and a few people say you ran red then youre word is as good as guilt unless you have a dash cam.

that was one specific question asked at our dot driver meeting. so who ever looks at that camera footage will use common sense and see you couldnt stop and throw it out.

long story short...... dont sweat it

Besides, Requiem, if it's true as you say you'd already reached the point of no return, the rest doesn't really matter. Point of no return is point of no return and you're sailing thru as you look both ways.

I have a question about red light camera tickets. Do you get points?[/QUOTE]

I haven't had one but asked the same question and was told that there is no disputing the ticket and there are no points just a monetary fine.

I appreciate the reply. Luckily there wasn't a question of getting into a wreck as I would have crossed by the time their light turned green. I was more concerned about the car behind me, it was one of those low to the ground 2 door Mercedes. Would've had my dot bumper right on their windshield.

Someone asked about points. I know in Texas there are no points, it doesn't go on your driving record, it's just a 75 fine. Supposedly not paying it can send it into collections and make it more of a pita to register your car.
