Was watching his YouTube video and he had about 792 miles to drive but he mentioned he's only getting paid for 400 something. Is this normal? Why isn't he getting paid for the full mileage?

That's probably true because he'll probably get fired for making movies instead of paying full attention to the road. Lawyers will have a huge payday if he's involved in a wreck with injuries.

I do realize I could look him up but I don't want my yt feed being trained, so, is there someone actually making "Yak n' back" videos while they drive? If so, bonehead move.

That's true he shouldn't be making movies and driving but is that why he getting paid for less miles? Or is that the norm in this industry?

Usually 10 % is wasted with the zip code to zip code air miles bs.
My trips are usually short 60-100 miles but sometimes I choose a longer route to go through a better area or avoid a hellhole like Atlanta.
My company treats me well and gives me long runs...60 miles isn't a big loss in the grand scheme of things.

You pulled this out of context. All anyone needs to do is go watch that video. He answers this. That is what the video is about. Doing the company a favor. Not what he normally does. Renegotiated pay to do the company a favor.
Red doesn't go driving around making videos. All you have to do is watch his videos. Red is a good guy. He definitely has his sights on his own trucking company one day. He's putting in the grunt work now.

If you've ever run a company. You always get the 'too smart for you' people who decide only they can do the job. You need to be able to shove that down their throats and do it yourself. That is what Red is doing.
There are six good people in trucking on youtube. Red is one of them.
The rest are nothing but entertainment.

Why would anyone watch videos about a job they already do? My ten hours off is entirely too short to watch others work
