Trying to convince my gf that the heat is manageable enough to move out that way. I’d love to.

The humidity is so low, the heat is easy to live with.
    Right now it's:

    Precipitation: 0%
    Wind: 22 MPH
    Humidity: 13%
    Sunny

I was outside all day yesterday and didn't sweat. Nice breeze, palm trees, low humidity.
Tell the gf there's no state income taxes and no food taxes at the grocery store.

Believe me I’m already sold. I’ve always loved the desert and being able to hit the strip whenever you want is a nice option. We were there in July when it was like 120+ So that type of heat worries her about our pups. Then again it gets hot ### hell here in the San Fernando valley too. The tax benefits make it worth it. Plenty of saved money to run the AC when needed.

It does get very hot on the strip because all the tall building block the breeze. If you live in Henderson it's only a 10 or 15 minute drive to the strip. I live in Henderson and can see the strip and the lights, but don't deal with the heat or crowds. I'm in Seven Hills and actually look down toward the strip. Henderson is clean and rarely see a homeless person; they're mostly in Las Vegas bumming from the tourists.
Maybe next trip take her to a hotel casino in Henderson where it's clean and not tall buildings jammed together blocking the nice breeze that's here most of the time.

my uncle stays at a resort in Henderson. We visited last time we were in Vegas at the same time. Henderson is where I’d look if I was moving out there.

My view of the strip is almost exactly like this picture.
Some prefer the other side of the strip at the base of those mountains seen in the photo. My buddy that lived a couple houses from me, sold his house and bought one close to the foot of the mountain.

Anthem is a nice area, but it's age restricted is some parts. The movie star Tony Curtis lived there after he retired and when he died was buried somewhere in that area. That area is like a big resort; maybe that's where your uncle lives. It's a golf cart community also; golf carts are legal on the streets. Nice place.

should have clarified. My uncle lives near us in Santa Clarita. He stays at green valley ranch I believe when we goes out there. We loved the area and talked up the Uber driver about the area. Definitely thinking about moving out there eventually.

This place is nice in Henderson. Hotel/Casino. When we have guests from out of state we take them there for the buffet. Huge buffet and very cheap.
