They aren't ticketing the individual. They are ticketing the company/truck. It has no repercussions against the driver as far as MVR. What your company decides to do is another matter. He won't even see the ticket. His company will.

most companies pay them. I know Jb receives all the tickets and pays them.
-
Unless the truck is owned by the driver of course. I am assuming a company driver here.

I have had to go thru a few. Never heard anything from my Co.
Also used to go thru KC on 71 pretty regularly, those are timed reaaaly close. Had it flash a few times at me, when I got stopped just barely past the line. -
I got flashed going through that intersection near the Love's in SE Memphis last year around 0200... never heard anything about it. Lefthand turn, started through the intersection on green, couldn't get the truck going fast enough to get all the way through the intersection before the yellow zipped through to red.
It's a muninciple revenue scam. That being said, making a habit of blowing through yellow lights at the last second before they turn red is not a very good plan.kloy Thanks this. -
Elendil said: ↑The ticket will not come to you, it will go to your company. They have no idea who is driving (but your company does). You can expect a call from your company's safety department when the ticket comes. I got mine in Alsip, IL and it took about a month to come. In the letter should be a link for you (or your company) to view a video of the event.
It won't be up to you to fight it or not, that will be your company's decision. As stated before it does not go on your driving record or CSA. However your company decides to handle it will be the way to go.Click to expand...
Kloy, lets assume that you did not see the flashbulb. How would you feel about getting your MVR printout next year and seeing a red light ticket that you never knew you were even accused of, and you plead guilty to it ????
If your employer just pays it without talking to you, get on this board and let me know. I will help you find a lawyer that will get you compensated for having your livelihood (CDL) adversely effected. -
BTW the rule of thumb (not law) is 1 second of yellow for every 10MPH of speed limit. And NO trucks are NOT exempt from stopping because "you couldnt safely stop".
