That is pretty light for you description.
But I agree on never short your self on equipment. I carry 14 3x8 chains, 12 ratchet binders, 10 straps, 12 coil racks, couple small steel tarps, piles of edge protectors and enough lumber to build a cabin.

so i went and traded it in today for a 2016 maximiser, 2 boxes, 1 spare tire rack, tire inflation system, and a light package. Total weight now with my tanks topped of is 32,100. Ill probably take the spare tire rack off. Its steel so gotta be at least 50 lbs. But now I'm good! I'm a pretty happy boy

That will take care of that. Can’t believe your old trailer was that heavy?

Well before I traded it in I weighed my truck and trailer and dropped the trailer then reweighed. Trailer was 10.5k with my tarps and dunnage. So probably more like 10.3 or 10.2. New trailer is 8.8. What really spurred the idea to trade it in was it was needing new tires, a new tool box, and my abs light was randomly coming on and off. So I woupdve had to pump idk 4k into a trailer I hated. Found a heck of a deal on this reitnouer. It'd had been sitting at the utility dealer for 2 years! One owner, and they really wanted it gone. So cards just played out in my favor
