Its normally early morning or late at night for some reason, rarely are places an all day deal. As for the noise, I hardly notice when its on and when its not on. First time I slept in a house after a month on the road I was a little freaked out by how quiet it was.

Well It's been awhile, but not ages.

I've pulled Reefers, Flat beds and Dry Vans. I tend to enjoyed the reefers more. The Noise at night to me was like the Gentle rocking of a Ship. Made me sleep better. Only time I had to wait any time to get loaded was at some Meat packers, but it was Not that bad as many complains about. I had once picked up Produce in AZ where I had to go to about 5 different warehouses. and again not bad at all. I did not feel as to say time was waisted, I used the time to catch up on paper work, and rest. Just think ahead.

I had all time Pick ups and drops, in all 3 trailers.

Plus with a Reefer if no Reefer loads, you can carry Dry Van goods also. Only a Few things I would not put in a reefer that I had hauled in a Dry Van. (Tractors and Steel Coils)
