I have been posting for a few months now, but have never really introduced myself... Fact is, I probably should have started here first, as one of my earlier threads did not quite go as I had hoped. Lets just say, I am humbled by how much talent there is here on the forum, and I truly am glad to be here!
I have owned my CDL since 1994. I got it doing on-the-job-training with a local Coca Cola company. They pretty much paid in bottle caps <LoL>, so I took my CDL and went to work with an LTL firm starting in 1995. The company sold us out in 1999, and by 2000 I had left trucking to go back to school. For 16-years I got fat at a desk job, and I am now looking to change vocations... I want to return to trucking, specifically over the road.
I never quit driving though, not really. Since 2008 I have been driving for a local high school marching band to support my son first, and finally my daughter. I drive my last gig in April, and at the same time will be retiring from my day job. With any luck, I will be driving by mid-April of 2017. Again, I am glad to be here, to learn from the best!
Refresher Needed, With Change of Vocation
